Callimachus, fragment 221 (tr. C.A. Trypanis):
We ask for zeal for learning, the gift of Hermes.
αἰτοῦμεν εὐμάθειαν Ἑρμᾶνος δόσιν.
Liddell-Scott-Jones define εὐμάθεια as "readiness in learning, docility," εὐμαθής as "ready or quick at learning."
