Advice works in two ways: it teaches us to choose this and avoid that.Note how many of the Greek words in this short clause are connected with English words:
διττοῦ δὲ ὄντος τοῦ τῆς συμβουλῆς ἔργου, τὰ μὲν γὰρ αἱρεῖσθαι, τὰ δὲ φεύγειν διδάσκει...
- διττοῦ: dittography
- ὄντος: ontology
- συμβουλῆς: symboleutic (surprisingly not in the Oxford English Dictionary)
- ἔργου: ergonomic
- αἱρεῖσθαι: heresy
- φεύγειν: fugue, fugitive
- διδάσκει: didactic
