Angry Old Men

Euripides, Andromache 727-728 (tr. David Kovacs):
Old men are a thing unrestrained
and are hard to control because of their quick tempers.

ἀνειμένον τι χρῆμα πρεσβυτῶν γένος
καὶ δυσφύλακτον ὀξυθυμίας ὕπο.
Aristotle, Rhetoric 2.13.13 (1390 a, on old men; tr. John Henry Freese):
Their outbursts of anger are violent, but feeble.

καὶ οἱ θυμοὶ ὀξεῖς μὲν ἀσθενεῖς δέ εἰσιν.
