Long Night

Propertius 2.15.23-24 (tr. G.P. Goold):
While fate permits, let us feast our eyes with love:
a long night is coming for you and day will not return.

dum nos fata sinunt, oculos satiemus amore:
nox tibi longa venit, nec reditura dies.
The same, in A.E. Watts' translation:
Let's glut our eyes with love, while yet we may:
A long night comes, with no return of day.
