οἵδε παρ᾿ Εὐρυμέδοντά ποτ᾿ ἀγλαὸν ὤλεσαν ἥβην
μαρνάμενοι Μήδων τοξοφόρων προμάχοις
αἰχμηταί, πεζοί τε καὶ ὠκυπόρων ἐπὶ νηῶν,
κάλλιστον δ᾿ ἀρετῆς μνῆμ᾿ ἔλιπον φθίμενοι.
