The Old Squire

Wilfrid Scawen Blunt (1840-1922), "The Old Squire," in his Poetical Works, Vol. II (London: Macmillan and Co., Limited, 1914), pp. 11-13 (at p. 12, from stanza VIII):
The new world still is all less fair
Than the old world it mocks.
Id., p. 13 (stanza XIV):
Nor has the world a better thing,
Though one should search it round,
Than thus to live one's own sole king,
    Upon one's own sole ground.
Id. (from stanza XVII):
I like to be as my fathers were,
In the days ere I was born.
