Deae Artioni Licinia SabinillaThat is,
Licinia Sabinilla for the goddess ArtioThe inscription is on the base of a bronze statue group in Bern, Historisches Museum, inventory number 16170/16210. The following photographs, by Stefan Rebsamen, appear in Annemarie Kaufmann-Heinimann, Dea Artio, die Bärengöttin von Muri: römische Bronzestatuetten aus einem ländlichen Heiligtum (Bern: Bernisches Historisches Museum, 2002): Bern is an appropriate location for the statue group, since by folk etymology it is derived from German Bär and has a bear on its coat of arms.
