To do this, let us begin by translating it. It is in French, of course, magnificent French. Let us put it into words that are much less beautiful but more immediately accessible to our minds. An excellent practice, by the way; one should never omit availing oneself of it every time it is a matter of interpretĀ­ing an old document whose message is hard to grasp.
