Mixed Marriages

Tacitus, Germania 46.1 (tr. Herbert W. Benario):
By mixed marriages they are getting to look like the Sarmatians in their coarse appearance.

When and where I grew up, a mixed marriage was one between a Catholic and a Protestant.
