A Time to Keep Silence, and a Time to Speak

Aeschylus, Eumenides 276-278 (tr. Herbert Weir Smyth):
Schooled by misery, I have knowledge of
many ordinances of purification and I know where speech is proper
and silence likewise.

ἐγὼ διδαχθεὶς ἐν κακοῖς ἐπίσταμαι
πολλοὺς καθαρμούς, καὶ λέγειν ὅπου δίκη
