A Good Soldier

Thucydides 5.9.9 (speech of the Spartan general Brasidas before the Battle of Amphipolis; tr. Charles Forster Smith):
Bear in mind that the three virtues of a good soldier are zeal, sense of honour, and obedience to his leaders.

νομίσατε <τρία> εἶναι τοῦ καλῶς πολεμεῖν, τὸ ἐθέλειν καὶ τὸ αἰσχύνεσθαι καὶ <τὸ> τοῖς ἄρχουσι πείθεσθαι.
