Euphemism

Aristophanes, Lysistrata 1157-1158 (tr. Benjamin Bickley Rogers):
LAC. Danged, an' there ever waur a bonnier lassie!
ATH. Hanged if I ever saw so sweet a creature!

ΛΑΚ. οὔπα γυναῖκ᾽ ὄπωπα χαϊωτεραν.
ΑΘ. ἐγὼ δὲ κύσθον γ᾽ οὐδέπω καλλίονα.
The same (tr. Jack Lindsay):
SPARTANS
I've never seen a nobler woman anywhere.
ATHENIANS
Nor I one with such prettily jointing hips.
On κύσθος see Jeffrey Henderson, The Maculate Muse: Obscene Language in Attic Comedy, 2nd ed. (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1991), p. 130 (# 107).
