Possessions

This I own, what I have learned and thought, and the Muses'
Solemn precepts, but all my riches are gone like empty smoke.

ταῦτ' ἔχω ὅσσ' ἔμαθον καὶ ἐφρόντισα καὶ μετὰ Μουσῶν
σέμν' ἐδάην· τὰ δὲ πολλὰ καὶ ὄλβια τῦφος ἔμαρψεν.
