Rest

Ovid, Heroides 4.89-90 (tr. Grant Showerman):
That which lacks its alternations of repose will not endure;
this is what repairs the strength and renews the wearied limbs.

quod caret alterna requie, durabile non est;
    haec reparat vires fessaque membra novat.
The Greek translation of Maximus Planudes:
ᾧ γὰρ ἔνδεια τῆς ἐξ ἀμοιβῆς ἀναπαύλης, οὐκ ἂν διαρκὲς εἴη·
αὔτη τὴν ἰσχὺν ἀνακτᾶται, καὶ τὰ κεκμηκότα μέλη ἀνανεοῖ.
