If we don't enjoy those things we have, but seek those we don't have, we'll be deprived of the latter by fate, of the former by our own fault.
ἂν οἷς ἔχομεν τούτοισι μηδὲ χρώμεθα,
ἃ δ' οὐκ ἔχομεν ζητῶμεν, ὧν μὲν διὰ τύχην,
ὧν δὲ δι' ἑαυτοὺς ἐσόμεθ' έστερημένοι.
