No Tomorrow

Sophocles, Women of Trachis 943-946 (nurse speaking; tr. Hugh Lloyd-Jones):
That is how things stand here; so that if anyone reckons on two days or more, he is acting foolishly, for there is no tomorrow till one has got through today in happiness.

τοιαῦτα τἀνθάδ᾿ ἐστίν. ὥστ᾿ εἴ τις δύο
ἢ κἀπὶ πλείους ἡμέρας λογίζεται,
μάταιός ἐστιν· οὐ γὰρ ἔσθ᾿ ἥ γ᾿ αὔριον        945
πρὶν εὖ πάθῃ τις τὴν παροῦσαν ἡμέραν.
