Condign Punishment

Euripides, Orestes 413 (tr. Edward P. Coleridge):
It is not strange, if those who have done dreadful things should suffer them.

οὐ δεινὰ πάσχειν δεινὰ τοὺς εἰργασμένους.

Sophocles, fragment 962 Radt (p. 597; my translation):
If you did dreadful things, you should also suffer dreadful things.

εἰ δείν' ἔδρασας, δεινὰ καὶ παθεῖν σε δεῖ.
