Friendship

Diogenes Laertius 5.20 (on Aristotle; tr. R.D. Hicks):
To the query, "What is a friend?" his reply was, "A single soul dwelling in two bodies."

ἐρωτηθεὶς τί ἐστι φίλος, ἔφη, "μία ψυχὴ δύο σώμασιν ἐνοικοῦσα."
