Rejection of Gods, Fatherland, and Kin

Tacitus, Histories 5.5.2 (tr. Kenneth Wellesley):
Converts to Judaism adopt the same practices, and the very first lesson they learn is to despise the gods, shed all feelings of patriotism and consider parents, children and brothers as readily expendable.

transgressi in morem eorum idem usurpant, nec quicquam prius imbuuntur quam contemnere deos, exuere patriam, parentes liberos fratres vilia habere.
Cf. the passages quoted in Battle Cry.
